Beale
Street Band Members
Ed Langille
- Vocals
Ed is the founder and leader of the Beale Street Band
which began in 1997. Ed has been singing R&B, Rock and Blues for longer
than he cares to remember! His earliest influence was Ray
Charles. More recently Delbert McClinton, Gregg Allman and
Warren Haynes have been of influence and Ed's vocal qualities
reflect these influences. In 2000, Ed made an appearance at
Symphony Hall. He has also appeared at the Grog with Parker Wheeler
and Friend’s as well as with Harvey Robbins' Rock & Roll All
Stars on
many occasions. Recently, Ed is also the lead singer
with Southern Revelation doing covers of southern rock music.
Ed is very passionate and intense about his singing
and it shows in his performances.
John Germanotta
- Drums
John has been
playing music since he was a child. A versatile musician,
playing several instruments, he began with classical training on the
violin which enabled him to develop a trained ear for many different
genres of music. He started playing guitar at 14, and moved on
to drums and bass from there. John has played in different types of
bands including Reggae, Avant-Garde Jazz, Bluegrass, Blues, Rock as
well as others. John has played in bands in and around Boston,
particularly in the Metrowest area, with Too Many Strings, Blues
Masons, Blue Hurricane, Fat Lotta Good, and most recently 2 Tone
Pony prior to joining Beale Street. As much as John loves all
instruments, drums are the most spiritual to him. "It literally rattles the bones."
Myron Kibbee
- Guitar
Myron is
a self taught guitarist who has been playing for 30 years.
With varied influences, his favorite guitar players are James
Burton, Chet Atkins, B. B. King, Duke Levine, Brent Mason, Freddie
King, Mike Bloomfield, Robert Cray, Duane Allman, Warren Haynes,
Derek Trucks, Jimmy Herring, Jeff Beck, Wes Montgomery and others.
Myron has played throughout New England for 10 years; 4 years
with the Sweet Roy Jones Band and 4 years as K. D. Bell's guitar
player. More recently, Myron has been playing with
Beale Street. He has played Rock, Blues and even Country
as well as doing studio session work out of Rockinghorse Studio in
Pittsfield, NH (web is www.rockinghorsestudio.com) playing acoustic
and electric guitar for various other types of music (Rock, Folk,
New Age, World, Pop, Hip-Hop, Country, etc.).
John O'Connor
- Bass
With an ear for
the sound and feel of the lower octaves for as long as he remembers,
John took up electric bass at age 15. He has played in
both Massachusetts and in New Hampshire since relocating from New
York in the 90's. Shaped early on by the sounds and styles of
Donald "Duck" Dunn, James Jamerson and Jerry Jemmott, John's
playing leans heavily on old school sensibilities. While
clearly influenced by more contemporary styles and players, John
still feels most at home keeping it 'in the pocket', and rarely
sacrifices groove for flash. In addition to holding down the
bottom for Beale Street, John is a member of Sweet
Willie D's Continental Walk, Soul with Distinction, and the North
Shore Gospel Ensemble. John has also appeared and
recorded with Diane Blue, Nicole Nelson, Peter Parcek, Chris Bonoli,
Mister Nick, Lisa Marie and others in the Boston area.
Bob Camacho
- Keyboards
Bob has
long been a part of the Boston Rock and Blues scene. He has
recorded for the Warner Brothers label with Rockin' George Leh and
Parker Wheeler in the group Swallow. In 2003, Bob
released his own CD (Black and Blue). Bob has played
with many other bands including the Cool Water Band, Scaramouch,
George Leh's Rockin' Shoes, The Wrecking Crew, Keeper, Marsha Devine
and the Short Fuse Blues Band with Blues diva Shirley Lewis, as well
as being lead vocalist and keyboardist for his own band, Inside Job
and now, Bob is playing keys and singing with Beale Street.
